Subcommittee Plus
Subcommittee Plus works to ensure Directors and Executives meet their strategic objectives and compliance responsibilities by providing an assessment of their Subcommittee’s current level of contemporary governance proficiency.
Why do we need Subcommittee reviews?
It is essential to have contemporary Subcommittees to support ever changing and growing governance requirements. Subcommittees play a key role in supporting Directors to be assured in their strategic and oversight roles for risk and compliance, by providing analytical and qualitative information that improves and optimises future governance decisions and performance.
"The Subcommittee Plus Review and Development Program delivered excellent outcomes for our Finance Audit and Risk committee. The Review was designed around a fit-for-purpose questionnaire reflecting contemporary subcommittee roles and responsibilities, as well as skills and behavioural attributes. The Review delivered insightful results and actionable recommendations including priorities for capability building and a new contemporary Terms of Reference for our Subcommittee."

Each Subcommittee Review provides a framework of your corporate, sector-specific, contemporary and ESG governance responsibilities. This includes the purpose, roles and responsibilities and reporting structure.
To achieve its objectives, a Subcommittee must include both internal and external members with the right mix of capabilities, including relevant skills, qualifications and experience, aligned to governance requirements in areas such as government, legislation, risk, quality and safety, corporate governance, contemporary practices, ESG, leadership and learning styles.
This part of the questionnaire reflects the governance skills and attributes required relevant to the specific Sector.
